Donna Giraud's bio:

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Donna is a nurse by trade but an artist by passion. Donna has always been interested in art, but became serious about painting when surprising to her, she successfully recreated a painting she saw hanging in a restaurant.

Donna is intrigued about mixing color with texture and has spent the last 3 years learning how to manipulate acrylic paint with various mediums. She has experimented in mixing acrylics with tissue paper, newspaper, pumice, liquid pouring medium, gold leaf and molding paste.

Donna has recently started selling her paintings and they are now hanging in various homes throughout Vancouver. Her moments of inspiration come abruptly and randomly and are influenced by emotions and people. Donna gravitates towards the abstract form as it creates such a unique experience and interpretation from every individual.

Donna looks forward to continuing that journey as people get to experience her paintings.
