Gayle Arnold's bio:

Gayle Arnold was born in New West in 1987 and raised in Coquitlam, British Columbia. In 2009 she graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Since then she has been a full- time artist producing work for exhibtions and creating commissioned paintings.

Arnold works primarily in oil but is also engaged in photography and writing music.

"My paintings are the result of years of dedication to learning technical abilities as well as research completed during my time at school. Painting is my passion and it is clear when looking at my work that I am curious and constantly evolving.

Growing up in Vancouver has influenced my work in many aspects. The energy here is always buzzing with growth and the mountainous landscapes create a calm haven for me to escape to. The balance of excitement and peace are visible in my work. I feel the most alive when I am inspired, so what else can I say besides my art is about life?"
