Roksan Kohen's bio:

Along her path, Roksan learns about life through her drawings and paintings. She fluently transfers the imagery revealed by personal and collective subconscious. The everyday life experiences and her emotions builds up to form the fantastic combination of lines and colours on her canvas. Her work aims to understand and share more about ones complex nature and the changing relationships with our surroundings. Observing people, nature and cityscapes inspires her to study our contemporary identities. The formless, deformed and reformed creatures in their landscapes reflects how we live today.

Born, grew up and studied painting in Istanbul Turkey, Roksan currently lives and paints in Vancouver. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries in both Vancouver and Istanbul.
