Artist Statement:

Entropy, often found in nature, relationships, and society represents renewal and rebirth. An iceberg melting is an example. I subtract or deconstruct a system from the whole to show a more meditative state. My work is very textural, using mostly acrylic and mixed media on canvas. By rubbing paint off to reveal a worn look, I also create an organic finish by keeping or manipulating the natural properties of the paint. Entropy is the ultimate route to equilibrium.
