Yared Nigussu's bio:

Yared was born in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. He is best known for his large size portraits of men and women. Yared studied at the Addis Abeba University School of Fine Art and Design and graduated in Art and Education with major in painting in 2005. He then awarded a scholarship to France where he taught Art and was involved in many exhibitions in Northern France.

After his graduation, he spent day after day observing human faces. He works right now on faces as he is fascinated by them, the beauty of shapes, their looks, especially human gaze “Eyes can hide a lot of stories… That's an infinite source of inspiration for me”

Yared moved to Canada in September 2009. He lived and worked in Vancouver until recently. He has now returned to Paris.
